I called at the farm shop and restaurant on way home from north Wales. It was a great find. The shop was really well stocked with fresh produce. The cafe was great. I also found the Gin distillery interesting and will go back for a proper shop.

I've been coming here for years, it's always been pricey, but worth it for the quality and variety of the products available. I visited again recently after 6 months or so and honestly I'm so disappointed. For example, you used to get a two pack of brownies for a decent price, now it's the same price for just one! The portion sizes of a lot of their on site made products have gone down and the prices gone up, it's so sad! They seem to sell more brought in tat that you can get from other shops for cheaper too.
Not to mention Ludlow kitchen, which again has gone so downhill since I last visited. Was told there was a 30 min wait for food, then told there wasn't which was good, but when we went to order we were told what we wanted wasn't in stock but the alternative was, so we ordered that. After nearly 20 mins of waiting and the chefs looking angry, we were approached and told there was actually none of what we ordered available now. But we saw multiple orders of what apparently wasn't left originally being taken out only a couple minutes prior and AFTER? The server was lovely though and sorted us out, so I can't fault the servers or the manager who was very apologetic when giving us the refund for the two unavailable plates.
I'm not sure what's happened, whether a change of owner, manager etc but it just doesn't have the home-y, community feel anymore. I grew up in Ludlow and to see these places cater only for the "better off people" in the area will just mean you lose vital, loyal, local customers. Good luck.

Amazing! Loved the farm shop itself and stopped off at the cafe to have lunch - we nearly avoided it due to previous reviews on here, but so happy we decided to give it a shot. The food was really fresh, amazing quality and great service. We will definitely be back when in the area!

Very disappointing. The shop was very expensive even though nothing was organic, we made the mistake of not checking the use by dates ourselves. The scones we bought in the cafe were dry and unpleasant and the ordering system, using QRcodes, was akin to a motorway service station. Not a pleasant experience and definitely not a go to destination. We would have had a better experience and probably better food by going to McDonalds or Greggs.

The selection of fresh produce is poor and some rotting in the stall. Bread is bought in by the looks of it, not made in store. The sausage rolls etc portion size is made for a hobbit but at full price. It’s just too expensive for what it’s worth.

We had a disappointing breakfast here yesterday ; the sausages had obviously been reheated from the previous day - they were tough and very dry .
We used to visit regularly for breakfast and it was excellent then .
The recent introduction of paying at the till to order means that you cannot request any additional items such as a further cup of coffee from a waitress whilst eating breakfast. Unbelievable that you actually have to go up to the till to do this.
The previously high standards have fallen.

Found this place on our way back from Wales. Stopped to have a cuppa and the most amazing bacon and maple syrup pancakes. Then had a wander in the gift shop and started Christmas shopping early! Will visit again when in the area

One of the vest farm shops I’ve ever seen. Not only did they have a vast range of locally sourced and handmade food, but also a café, takeaway, accommodation, a distillery, and in a few days' time, a new addition: a gift shop.

Lovely food to try in the farm shop such as honey and jam. Loads of different foods to buy. We had a lovely lunch in the cafe and even though the food was probably already pre made it came out super quickly and was very delicious and hot. It was very busy and the staff were extremely friendly, polite and quick! Thank you 🤩

I think my definition of a farm shop and what this is vastly different. This place is so over commercialised (something to an excessive) it's spoiled it's roots. The cafe is so busy and expensive. The shop is very well tended. Toilets clean.
If fairness the rating of 3 is the whole site and experience.
The Pie Pie was very very tasty and 10/10 and would recommended

Have bought their cheese with no name for the last couple of years, but every time I buy it there is less and less taste to the point I won’t buy it again. I bought some last week and it was tasteless

I bought 2 jars of Ludlow Farm Shop's own marmalade, £4.99/jar, marked 2 for £8.00, on Aug 15th. Upon checking my account I see that I was charged £8.99.
Marmalade is good, but and slightly irritated re the pricing.

We went to Ludlow farm shop for some lunch and it was a major disappointment. For a farm shop, I expected more choice to be honest but we opted for a Greek style flatbread and salad. The flat bread was so dry like it was a week old and very hard going, after a couple of tries we both gave up on the bread. Also the chicken was in cubes, so was frozen rubbish rather than quality meat. The drinks weren’t that great either. Overall a massive disappointment.

Bad experience
One of the staff lady was really rude with us , we were tasting jams at the counter and thinking of which one to buy ,the staff lady came and told us we are not supposed to do so ,as it is almost closing time ,they could have removed those jars and spoons from the counter then ,
It was a bad experience for us we dint feel like welcomed.

Loved the Butchery but your Fruit and Veg desires a great improvement. Why are you selling Blueberries from Peru at the height of the UK season?

Was expecting farm shop quality food for the price in the coffee shop but the sandwich resembled what you would buy in a Tesco meal deal. Milkshake tasted like Nesquik powder.

Not as much locally produced produce as I would have expected. Which it a pity, as there's a lot of good locally available food.

Pasty pastry was raw but also super dry. They also had no flavour at all. Wouldn’t recommend.
The sandwiches looked like they had seen better days. Expensive coffee considering you have to make it yourself.
The ice cream was fab and the farm shop was cute but overpriced.

Love quality food and attend many food festivals. Visited from Nantwich just over a week ago. I was quite shocked at the dreadfully poor quality of the vegetables. Having worked as a senior manager in a large greengrocery and health foods organisation I can honestly say we would have binned a lot of the greens on display. Also grossly overpriced. I suggest you exercise a bit of quality control and also take a look at some top-quality farm shop displays. Take a trip to Hollies near Tarporley, Cheshire. You might learn something.

Called in today for a spot of breakfast. We had a problem with my meal due to my allergy issues which I flagged to our server (whom I believe was also the manager so was nice to see that everyone chips in to help out). Our server took our concerns straight to the kitchen staff to and redo both sets of food allowing me and my partner to be able to eat at the same time instead of her eating her food on her own and she even offered a complementary drink as well. She checked in with us several times throughout to make sure everything was ok. It was great to see how seriously food allergies, dietary requirements and even food preferences are taken at this establishment and how friendly and accommodating the staff are.
